From San Fran to LA

In just a short time, Mike and I will be on our way to California for his family trip. We will start in San Fran and make our way down to LA. We are beyond excited! He's been to both places numerous times but I've only been to LA. For the past few weeks, months even, we've been chatting about what we'll do, where we'll go, feasting locations, shopping locations, etc. I can't wait to have a whole week of relaxation and adventures with my cute hubs!

And since today is Friday Fancies: Date Night... could it get anymore fitting than to go ahead and ~~plan~~ dream about the outfits I will wear on our little dates.

dress the part: picnic

We have had a wonderful spring so far down in nc. a few hot days sprinkled here and there but overall it has just been plain gorgeous. this weather makes me one happy gal.

with warm weather comes

picnics

bike rides

long walks

reading in the grass

wine on the porch

hikes

cornhole tourny

floral dresses

wedges

shades of mint, pink and yellow

sweet tea

floppy hats

strawberry shortcake

lemons

low country boil

oh.. and so much more

but today we'll focus on one of my all time favorites -- picnics

a picnic can be taken any day you have sunshine

and anywhere you can find a patch of grass

all you need is a basket, cute boy, cheese, wine, blanket and the essential tools {wine opener}

but sometimes it calls for a cute outfit, a sweet ride and a bottle of bubbly

maxis, wedges & bags; oh my!

This week, I've been dreaming of hangers, dressing rooms and overflowing shopping bags. I've had a massive craving to shop - like buy anything that hangs, folds or sparkles kind of craving. A craving for new wedges, jean jackets, maxi dresses, purses of every shape, fedoras, corals and tangerines, & _______ {fill in the blank with your wildest because I'm prob buckling at the knees to buy it}.

Needless to say, I'm keeping my wallet as far away as possible and trying to convince myself the craving will subside. some day soon. {I hope!}. Until then.. Pinterest and Polyvore will save me.

sand, stripes and pastries

Don't mind me.....I am just hanging out on Cloud 9 today.

It's warm here, my toes are in the sand and I'm devouring soft, stinky cheese and crusty bread.

Mike and I are venturing in and out of markets and sipping delicious wines.
I wear the cutest high-waisted shorts
as I ride on my adorable little bicycle full of flowers, wine and fresh fruits.

Two of the cutest toddlers I know are laughing, singing and dancing with me.
I am in paradise.

Ugh summer of 2013.. are you here yet?

We've just booked a trip to Normandy in this cute little abode

and hopefully we'll get to see this cute little family

I am seriously dying with excitement.. and I have over a year to wait? UGH!

for those of you that don't know.. this is my sister and her family
they live in germany

I am {slightly} obsessed with them

they are beyond inspiring, fun and loving

their love of Christ and obedience is amazing

they inspire me to be better, stronger, more passionate

they laugh as a family

they play as a family
they pray as a family

they know how to live life to the fullest

while always glorifying God

Now about my niece and nephew.. I'll have to do a whole separate post
{of incredible cute-ness.. you seriously have no idea}

Sofia is the coolest girl on the planet.

One day, she is going to make an AMAZING woman of God.

She is hilarious, smart, sweet.

I could squeeze her to pieces if she would let me.

Levi is the cuddliest, cutest baby boy.

I want to eat him up every time I hear him or see him.
He is so snuggly, warm and precious!

I can't wait to watch him grow up into a strong, loving father like his own.

I am already starting the countdown until summer 2013. That is just way too long to wait.
Especially for the girl that always opened Christmas presents and rewrapped them.
Patience is not a gift of mine..
